Hello, folks. Sorry for being out of touch. It’s been a busy couple of weeks and every time I think I have something of interest to share with you all, it turns out I don’t.
In lieu of producing anything of interest, then, I have spent some time checking in on the interesting work my friends have been producing. And have decided to plug two shows for you:
Nina Katchadourian has a new show at the Morgan. It is excellent. A pastiche (in the second sense of the word) of her own art and pieces from the library. It’s funny, moving, and lovely, and fronts the genuine curiosity of an artist who is always questioning the rapport between objects, people, feelings, stuff.
Ophira Eisenberg has a new show at the Soho Playhouse, “Leaving a Mark: A Comedy About Scars.” It might be sold out, in which case I’m dangling before you a treat you can’t have, but I could be wrong. The show is this gorgeous, sad thing, strafed with pain and savvy, and, you know, levity because pain is funny!
So there you have it. Enjoy!

PS. Oh, I forgot to thank everyone for participating in my last poll. Turns out most of you refuse to interact with ye old newsletter because you are shy. But a whopping TWENTY-FIVE percent of you have a massive crush on me. Which is nice to know come Valentine’s Day, as I sit at home chewing my cuticles, making newt soup. Hearts!
